Watching Artemis II make its journey toward the Moon with Rise on board… I didn’t expect to get this attached to a tiny plushie. But somehow, Rise felt like all of us up there. A small symbol of something much bigger. A collective.
Over the past few days, I’ve been blown away by how many people showed up creatively. The amount of artwork inspired by this mission is incredible. So many talented people, all capturing the same moment in their own unique way. I had to join in. Also would like to make it into a shirt where I can wear it too.
I played around with a few ideas, but I kept coming back to something simple, cute, and a little cartoony. I even changed Christina’s pose to a flex after seeing that photo of her showing her strength. That moment hit me, especially being on my own health journey right now.
This mission lit something up in me. Not just because of space, but because of what it represents. People from different backgrounds, genders, races, and nationalities all coming together for one shared goal. There’s something powerful about that. It reminds me what we’re capable of when we actually work together. I’m really excited to see what NASA does next.
To the Moon… and beyond. 🚀
